Casillas gets better and he’s not going to retire

At the beginning of May the world found out the news, that Iker Casillas, one of the most titled footballer in Historycznego, suffered from a sudden heart attack. His life is not endangered anymore and his current health condition is good. For this reason he decided to announce on his Twitter account, that he will continue career, even though the opposite news have been declared by the media.

Celebrating his 38th birthday a few days ago player started his senior career in Real Madrid in 1999. Despite being only 18 at the time and being not particularly tall for a goalkeeper, he quickly broke into the squad a became an important part of the ‘Galacticos’, which included stars bought for gigantic amounts of money. Spaniard played 725 times in ‘Los Blancos’ shirt, which is second best result, after Raul Gonzalez. He won everything, that he has participated in – Champions League three times, UEFA Super Cup three times as well, 2 FIFA Club World Cups, one Intercontinental Cup, La Liga five times, Copa del Rey twice, 4 Spanish Super Cups. He left Madrid in 2015 to join FC Porto.

He also fulfilled himself in the international field. He received a first call-up in 2000, and debuted against Sweden. He was also already titled with Euro U16 golden medal, World Cup U17 bronze medal and World Cup U20 golden medal. In the senior national team he became an important part of the squad, which conquered the world between 2008 and 2012, winning both Euro tournaments and World Cup as well.

It’s probably not the end of his successes. If he continues his career, he will be able to win his second Portugal championship.
