Long-term planning is taking place at Stamford Bridge during the day and it looks like Chelsea will sign one of South America’s greatest talents. Kendry Paez from Ecuador, who is only 15 years old, lives in Independiente del Valle and is described as one of the greatest talents in South America. A few weeks ago he moved from the youth section to playing in the first team.
The attacking midfielder, who often plays on the right wing, has incredible speed that has attracted the interest of many clubs in Spain, Germany and Portugal, but when a transfer to the Premier League became possible, everything changed.
The Independent reports that Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Paez for the transfer. According to the newspaper, the 15-year-old is expected to move to the London club in a few years for £17.5m. This is an international transfer, so Paez will have to wait until he turns 18 before joining Chelsea. This will be in the summer of 2025. According to The Independent, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United had also previously shown interest in Paez, but it was Chelsea that prevailed.
