Since the £100m move for Jack Grealish in 2021, Pep Guardiola has continually defended the winger’s inability to produce assists and goals. The English national team player has indeed got a new partner in Erling Haaland, but has still benefited from being close to defending the investment City made in him.
According to the Italian media, City are ready to “sacrifice” Grealish as a pawn in a persuasion campaign.
AC Milan has bigger ambitions than making money from player sales, so it is not surprising that Paulo Maldini and the gang are holding out on Rafael Leao. The Portuguese winger is on the block with various giants, including Manchester City. This season, the 23-year-old has produced 7 goals and 9 assists in 20 games in the Milan outfit.

Grealish, on the other hand, has been on the field in 17 games with 1 poor assist. According to Calciomercatoweb, City have sent signals to AC Milan that they are ready to sign Leao with the “carrot” Grealish in a swap deal.
We hardly think Maldini or Grealish are particularly keen on this scheme.
