This has been talked about for the last week. Confirmation came on Wednesday, three days before the match against Bournemouth. Nuno Esperito Santo returns to the Premier League.
The Portuguese led Wolverhampton to great success before leaving Wolves at the end of the 2020/21 season. Santo was then lured in as Tottenham’s manager.
After being released from Tottenham, Santo went to Saudi Arabia. He led the club to the championship title. He equipped the squad with Benzema and other stars before being sacked in early November. Now Santo has returned as Nottingham Forest manager after Steve Cooper did his part.
The 49-year-old has a contract on paper until 2026, now everything depends on whether Nottingham Forest will not have to take the elevator down to the Championship next season. We admire the work the Portuguese has done at Molinex. This bodes well for Nottingham Forest. We will see if the Santo effect appears on Saturday against Bournemouth.
