Saving money can be terribly expensive. Real Madrid, which can soon be referred to as “the former Spanish big club” if nothing drastic happens. This year, by pointing to the corona, the club’s savings program has led one after the other to leave the Santiago Bernabéu.
This summer’s garage sale led to 23-year-old Sergio Reguilón being sold to Tottenham for just over NOK 300 million. At the end of the negotiations, Real Madrid managed to bring in a buy-back clause of NOK 480 million.
