Mohamed Salah is undoubtedly one of the brightest stars in Premier League. When he joined Liverpool in 2017, it was certain, that Jürgen Klopp signs a great player. However, probably nobody expected, that Egyptian will be so prolific in goals in his first season after coming back to England.

Over 32 goals and 10 assists is the best result in the league history. The winger dominated Premier League with his performances and it was expected, that he will play similarly well in the next campaign. This season is much harder for the player though, but his role has changed at the beginning of the campaign. He created more chances rather than executing them. Finally he jumped to the first place in the goalscorer table.

The crisis began in February. The last goal he scored was against Bournemouth and then he faced eight-matches long pass without scoring. During the term Liverpool played 6 matches in the league and two games versus Bayern in Round of 16 in Champions League. In European cup the team managed to advance without his goal, he assisted though to cross the T’s and dot the I’s in the rematch. In the Premier League his and his teammates’ inefficiency in front of the goal caused a loss of points against Everton and Manchester United. Man City benefited and overtook Liverpool in the table.

During eight matches he shooted 26 times and only against Southampton he stopped his bad pass. It was the longest row of matches without a goal since he joined Liverpool. Now the fans can expect a great comeback to form in the crucial time of the season.
